Q&A
Q: Why should I hire you?
A: I have more than two decades of writing and editing experience and have developed a wide range of sources for a variety of topics. My editors consistently praise me for my clean copy, my innovative ideas for subjects to cover and my ability to turn complex financial topics into consumer-friendly language. I am extremely well organized and pride myself on meeting (or beating) every deadline for every client. My writing style can be adapted to meet the requirements of any publication.
Q: What kind of clients do you accept? Are all your articles bylined?
A: I work for print and online consumer-facing publications as well as internal and business-to-business publications for other clients. I can provide copy editing and substantive editing services. I am equally comfortable with producing materials with or without my byline. I’ve ghostwritten editorials, advertorials, websites, marketing materials and a book for multiple clients in addition to writing my own book.
My articles range from lengthy research pieces with numerous sources to medium-length stories with two or three sources to shorter blog posts based on my in-depth knowledge of personal finance and real estate.
Q: Can I reprint your articles?
A: My clients own the copyright to all of my work and I own the copyright to my book. Links to sites that carry my work are permissible, along with accurate quotations including attribution to the original source.
Q. How much do you charge?
A: My rates are reasonable and negotiable and vary according to the time and research required as well as the length of the assignment. I am happy to negotiate a project rate, a per-word rate or an hourly rate in accordance with my clients’ needs.
